How The Day Unfolds
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2026
1:30 PM: Player Registration Begins
2:00 - 6:30 PM: Twilight Par 3 Contest
The event begins with a fun 18-hole par 3. This event is optional for all players, but it’s a routing you don’t want to miss. The lowest score will be crowned our Par 3 champion.
7:00 PM: Welcome Dinner
The welcome dinner will be hosted at Blu Pointe. Here we will celebrate the start of a great tournament, hear your captains speak, and find out the first event pairings. Dress code: smart casual.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2026
7:30 AM: Breakfast service at the clubhouse.
Breakfast will feature a wide assortment of breakfast bagel sandwiches
8:30 AM: Opening Ceremony
9:00 AM: Round 1 Matches
Format: Better Ball
12:00 PM: Lunch
Enjoy elevated sandwhiches and wraps from our local chef.
1:00 PM: Round 2 Matches
Format: Selective Drive Alternate Shot
4:30 PM: Social Hour
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres
5:45 PM: Dinner
Casual dinner at the golf course.
7:00 PM: S’mores and Mini Golf
Hang out with friends by the fire as we enjoy an evening treat while competing on our 9 hole glow in the dark mini golf course.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026
7:30 AM: Breakfast service at the clubhouse.
Breakfast will feature a wide assortment of breakfast tacos and pastries.
8:30 AM: Round 3 Matches
Format: Scramble
11:00 PM: Grab and Go Lunch
Enjoy firewood pizza from a local food truck
11:30 PM: Round 4 Matches
Format: Singles
3:00 PM: Closing Ceremony, Food and Awards

Key Elements
The Purpose
The Storm King Invitational (SKI) is designed to be more than a traditional golf tournament. Its purpose is to foster community, deepen relationships, and encourage personal growth through the game we all love.
To support that mission, caddies and personal aides are not permitted during the competition. Instead, teammates serve as one another's caddies, creating opportunities to communicate, support each other, and strengthen the bonds that make team competition so meaningful.
At the Hudson Valley Golf Foundation, we believe events like the Storm King Invitational are about more than crowning a champion. They provide an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone, build lasting friendships, and grow both on and off the golf course.
Guest Accommodations
Guests are welcome—and encouraged—to attend the Storm King Invitational. We want family and friends to experience the unique atmosphere and excitement of Storm King throughout the weekend.
To preserve the integrity of the competition and the purpose of the event, all guests are asked to remain on designated cart paths and designated spectator areas. Parents, family members, and friends are not permitted on the fairways or greens during play.
This policy allows teammates to communicate, problem-solve, and support one another independently, fostering the relationships, confidence, and teamwork that are central to the Storm King Invitational experience.
Each player is welcome to bring guests to enjoy the weekend. Guests may participate in all event meals and activities with a $250 donation to the Hudson Valley Golf Foundation. Their contribution helps support the Foundation's mission while allowing them to fully share in the Storm King Invitational experience.
Team Selections
The Storm King Invitational features four teams composed of adaptive, veteran, and Special Olympics athletes. Each team is led by a returning Storm King Invitational participant serving as team captain.
Once all players have confirmed their participation, captains will select their teams during the official team draft. Team rosters will then be announced to all participants.
Each team is assigned a unique name and color, creating an identity that players will carry throughout the weekend. To complete the experience, every participant will receive a team uniform, including a custom polo, a long-sleeve shirt, and a few additional surprise items.
