Jarrett Fultz, an Arizona native competing with cerebral palsy, is a standout talent in the neurological/coordination impairment category. Living with hand tremors and motor control challenges, Fultz has developed exceptional touch around the greens and a resilient mental approach that allows him to execute under intense pressure.
Fultz broke onto the national radar by capturing the overall title at the Chicago Adaptive Open, carding a 1-under 71—the only under-par round of the entire tournament. Known for his fiery competitive edge and smooth rhythm, he continues to turn heads across major USGA and regional adaptive events.
Trevor Stephens
ADAPTIVE
Trevor Stephens, hailing from Greenwich, Connecticut, is a top-tier adaptive golfer competing in the above-knee leg impairment division. Born with proximal femoral focal deficiency—a rare birth defect that left his right femur underdeveloped—Stephens underwent an above-the-knee amputation at age four.
Stephens competed on his high school varsity team, went to Rollins College in Florida and went on to become a successful luxury real estate professional in New York City and Greenwich, CT. He frequently competes on the national stage, including the USGA U.S. Adaptive Open.
Brandon Canesi
ADAPTIVE
Brandon Canesi, of Northfield, New Jersey, is one of the most recognizable figures in adaptive sports, widely known as the "no-handed golfer." Born without hands, Canesi played sports growing up but temporarily stepped away from golf when traditional equipment became impossible to use. At age 17, he engineered custom 55-inch clubs that allow him to anchor the grip securely under his armpits.
Canesi went on to graduate from the Golf Academy of America and founded the Hole High foundation to inspire others with limb differences. An elite player with a powerful swing, Canesi won his category in multiple events including the Arizona Adaptive Open, and represented Team USA in the Cairns Cup in 2022.
Charlie Crose
SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Charlie Crose is an accomplished Special Olympics athlete from Pasco County, Florida, with an impressive record of success in state and national golf competitions. For 15 consecutive years, Crose has earned gold medals in golf at the Special Olympics Florida State Games. He also captured a silver medal at the Special Olympics North America (SONA) Golf Championship alongside his Unified partner.
Crose’s passion for golf began during his high school years, where he gained recognition for his powerful drives and consistent iron play. Today, he remains an active competitor in Florida’s Unified Golf program, continuing to demonstrate his skill, sportsmanship, and the power of inclusion through sport.
Adam Jennings
Veteran
Adam Jennings is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served as a Sergeant deployed to Afghanistan. While working on a military vehicle in May 2010, Jennings suffered a catastrophic accident that crushed his right arm; subsequent severe infections led to lasting nerve damage that restricts the functional use of his arm. He adapted his game around the injury and turned to adaptive golf as a key component of his ongoing recovery.
Competing in events like the Simpson Cup and the Brightspot Unified Golf Challenge, Jennings frequently teams up with adaptive and Special Olympics athletes, showcasing the power of sport to bridge diverse communities. Driven by his military background and his role as a father to a daughter with special needs, Jennings's competitive nature and warmth make him a beloved figure across veteran golf events.
Nick Kimmel
VETERAN
Nick Kimmel is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Corporal who survived a catastrophic blast in Afghanistan in 2011. While building a protective position, Kimmel stepped on an IED, suffering severe blast injuries that resulted in the amputation of both legs above the knee and his left arm above the elbow, making him one of the very few triple amputees to survive combat injuries in the conflict. Refusing to be defined by his limitations, he underwent an intense recovery and turned to adaptive golf as a primary outlet for his athletic energy.
Today, Kimmel is an accomplished adaptive golfer who competes on national stages and speaks publicly for veteran organizations like the Gary Sinise Foundation. Swinging with specialized prosthetic equipment, his remarkable ability on the course serves as a powerful testament to human resilience and military fortitude.
Kellie Valentine
ADAPTIVE
Kellie Valentine, from Erie, Pennsylvania, is a trailblazing pioneer in adaptive golf with a competitive career spanning nearly three decades. Following an automobile accident in 1993 that resulted in the amputation of her right arm above the elbow, Valentine adapted her game, rising to become one of the most decorated limb-difference golfers in North America. She has captured 32 Eastern Amputee Golf Association (EAGA) titles and served as Captain for Team USA in international amputee competitions.
Off the course, Valentine is a Licensed Professional Counselor who co-founded Moving Foreward, an organization that empowers individuals with disabilities through golf. Inducted into the EAGA Hall of Fame in 2010, she continues to advocate for adaptive sports, mentor women entering the game, and compete at elite national events.
Pryce Holcombe
SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Pryce Holcombe, originally from Florence, Alabama, and now residing in Quincy, Illinois, has been involved with Special Olympics golf for more than 17 years. Alongside his father and Unified partner, Les, Holcombe has represented Special Olympics USA on the global stage, including competing at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
Holcombe attended the University of North Alabama’s Lion Buddies program and continues tobalance his passion for golf with work and community involvement. His longtime partnership with his father, both on and off the course, is a powerful example of the spirit of Unified Sports and the meaningful connections created through Special Olympics
Nancy lee
ADAPTIVE
Nancy Lee is an accomplished adaptive golfer from New York City competing in the leg impairment category. Known for her disciplined practice habits and strategic course management, Lee has established herself as one of the top female adaptive competitors in the Northeastern United States.
Representing the New York State Golf Association, Lee made her debut on the national stage at the U.S. Adaptive Open at Pinehurst No. 6, finishing near the top of the leaderboard in the Women’s Leg Impairment flight. Her involvement serves as an important catalyst for expanding opportunities for women with physical impairments in competitive golf.
